Call for input into Cork City Integration Strategy

Thu, May 1, 2014

intergration-stratedgyThe Cork City Integration Strategy aims to foster and promote migrant integration in Cork across all spheres of life in the city and is being led by a steering committee which brings together a range of key stakeholders in the city. The strategy, following a long consultation process, is moving toward completion. It is due to be published and launched in June of this year.

As part of this work, we want to highlight the current work being done in our great city that furthers migrant integration, equality and social inclusion. We are inviting individuals, organisations, community based organisations, ethnic and/or migrant-led organisations, etc. to have your say, to highlight the work you are currently doing in the area, the challenges you face and your suggestions for overcoming these challenges.

If you would like the work of your organisation or community group to be highlighted and included in the strategy document, then we would love to hear from you. We know that a lot of really positive work is being delivered across the city and we wish to highlight and publicise this.

If you wish to contribute to the strategy, please send us a short piece that includes:

  • Information about your organisation, or you as an individual
  • The work or projects that you are/have been involved in
  • Your achievements,
  • The challenges you face
  • Your suggestions for change on both local and or national level

Alternatively, a form is available for download here for your convenience.

This is a good opportunity to highlight the great work that is being delivered throughout the city and to have your say.

Please submit by email to: fiona@nascireland.org by no later than Wednesday 21 May 2014.
