Get involved with Nasc’s new anti-racism youth group!
Nasc is setting up an anti-racism youth group and are looking for more young people to get involved. This youth project, funded by the European Integration Fund, will run over the summer months in Cork and will be made up of migrant young people and Irish national young people. We intend for the youth group to promote anti racism and showcase examples of how individuals can promote change via ground up advocacy.
The youth group will work in partnership with Nasc to develop a school training pack on anti-racism and integration. Nasc will provide workshops which will focus on teaching the group the skills needed to produce a compelling video as well as helping them to develop a deeper understanding of racism and hate crime.
The youth group will run for 4 weeks commencing mid June and will be made up of four and a half hour sessions, twice a week.
We hope that the end result of this project will be that the group will be able to work interactively and interculturally, to speak out against racism and promote integration in their schools and communities.
