Nasc’s 2012 Better Together Entry – Giving a Voice to Young Immigrants
Nasc has submitted an entry to the 2012 Better Together video competition for charities and community organisations in Ireland.
The two-minute video features Zelen and Zen, twin brothers originally from Botswana who came to Ireland to join their mother. We’d like to thank Zen and Zelen for sharing their story and the challenges they faced. The video poignantly demonstrates the positive aspects of migration and integration and the importance of Nasc’s work in supporting young migrants in finding their way.
The video was made by local filmmaker Brian Cronin, who has received acclaim for his RTE-funded short Fond of a Moth, which screened on the opening night of the Cork Film Festival last year. We are deeply appreciative of Brian’s voluntary work on Nasc’s behalf.
You can vote for our video once every 24 hours, until the competition ends on 19th November. Please vote as often as you can and share with your friends and family. Help us get to the final ten, so that we will be in with a chance to win a prize of €3,000. This will help us to continue to work to bring families and communities together.
