Unique opportunity for young people in Cork: Animation Project

Mon, July 2, 2012

Nasc is pleased to announce our collaboration with Animation Space on a unique animation project for young migrants aged between 18 and 23 in the Cork area.

Animation Space facilitators will lead a free 5 week workshop for a group of up to eight young adults from Cork. The workshops will take place during July and August 2012 with the aim of producing an original short animated film to be launched in September 2012.

The workshops and film will aim to explore issues raised by the young people in the group such as racism, discrimination, stereotypes, belonging and making a home in Ireland.

Here is a short animation made by the group on the first day of exploration:

If you, or a young person you know is interested in taking part, please contact Aimee at aimee@nascireland.org. There are only a few places remaining in the group so act quickly to avoid disappointment.
