Video: Better Together with Nasc 2012

Better Together with Nasc is a short film we made in collaboration with film-maker Brian Cronin as an entry for the Better Together competition in 2011. Following a very successful result in the competition (8th overall in our category), we went back to work with Brian to create an extended cut of the film. The result of this second collaboration can be seen here.
Huge thanks to Brian Cronin as well as to all who gave of their time to participate in the making of this video, particularly Tracy, Abdullah, Malika, John and Elmi.
Some of our most important and fulfilling work here at Nasc centres around families and helping migrants and Irish people alike reunite with their loved ones. The video features Tracy, her husband Abdullah, and their baby Malika. Abdullah’s first application for permission to come to live in Ireland with his family was denied. Nasc helped Tracy to make a second application, and she and her husband are now living in Cork with their daughters Malika, who can be seen in the film and new addition Amira.
