Social & Cultural Group Historical Tour Blackrock Observatory : Friday 23rd July 2010
The trip was part of the ongoing historical information tours around Cork & Munster. The aim is to help increase the knowledge of migrants of their new home & raise their understanding of Irish Society and history. They had a guided tour of Blackrock Observatory and the Castle.

Nasc Wine Tasting Fundraiser : Friday 25th June 2010
This fundraiser was hosted by Nicholas Sicot, Manager of 'O Donovan's Off License. Food was donated by On the Pig's Back, Cafe Gusto, An Cruibin and Heaven's Cakes. Over 50 tickets were sold & the money raised on the night will help Nasc to continue our important work.

Speakers Panel & Training for Transformation Graduation June 24th 2010
This year's Training for Transformation and Speaker's Panel participants met with the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Dara Murphy, who presented them with their certificates. The ceremony was followed by a meal and celebration at Nasc.

Nasc at Globalfest : 16th-27th June 2010
Globalfest is an exciting festival that expresses the creativity of youth and celebrates and highlights that we all belong to one world. Nasc worked in collaboration with Mayfield Community Arts to produce a boat exhibiton which was displayed at Camden Palace and Bishop Lucey Park.

Social & Cultural Group Historical Tour of Cork City : Tuesday 15th June 2010
This is one of a series of historical and cultural tours that the group have organised. They visited St. Finbarr's Cathedral, Red Abbey and the Elizabethan Fort, amongst others. Members learned many new things about the history of Cork.

Nasc Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.) : Saturday 12th June 2010
Over 60 members of Nasc turned out for our AGM this year. We had presentations from Staff, Board and members of Nasc. Congratulations to 2 members -Kamar Yusuff and Naomi Ejeye - who were voted onto the Board of Nasc.
Nasc at the MRCI protest for Migrant Workers, Dublin: Friday 2nd June 2010
Nasc attended the protest held by the MRCI, outside Minister Batt O Keeffes office, Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, in Dublin. We were campaigning for the rights of migrant workers to change employer. There was an excellent turn out, with workers from all over the country getting involved.
Minister Mary White's visit to Nasc: Friday 14th May 2010
We welcomed the opportunity to speak to the Minister about some of the barriers that migrants regularly experience in accessing their rights & entitlements & hope that she will consider our suggestions as to how her office can play a role in ensuring that these barriers are dismantled.

Nasc Women's Group at International Women's Day celebration: March 2010
Nasc took part in the International Women's Day celebrations,hosted by the Sexual Violence Centre.. Events included a Fashion show ,drumming and dancing workshops. International cuisine was served and there was an excellent turnout from many different countries on the day.

Lifelong Learning Festival at Nasc: 27th March 2010
Nasc hosted our part in the Lifelong Learning Festival. Events included a Dressmaking workshop facilitated by Nasc's Women's Group member Bode Sanni , and an interactive session with Marie Claire Kah from Nasc's Speakers' Panel providing information on her country of origin.
St. Patrick's Day Parade - Nasc & Mayfield Arts

Nasc collaborated with Mayfield Arts to produce the project for this year's St. Patrick's Day Festival. The theme for the festival was "Ship to Shore"- Many members from Nasc's Social & Cultural Group and Women's Group helped to design & make the costumes & art work & exhibit them on the day

Women's Group Clonakilty Summer Trip

7 members of the Speaker Panel group worked with Frameworks films and crew volunteers to produce four thirty minute programmes for a project entitled, “Community in a Studio”.

Social & Cultural Group: Friendship Exchange: 27th June 2009
Our first in the series of Friendship Exchanges took place on the 27th June. It encouraged people to get to know one another and make new friends.It was a great success.

St Patrick's Day; Women's Group- 17th March 2009
20 members of Nasc Women's Group and Nasc volunteers marched in St Patrick's Day parade this year. They designed the costumes, masks and enjoyed the fun of the day.

Womens Group, Trabolgan - August 2008
In August 2008, the Women's group went to Trabolgan Holiday Village, located in East Cork. It was a good day and despite the weather, the group and their children enjoyed themselves.
