People who are granted refugee status are allowed to apply to have their families join them in Ireland. However, some are often separated from their families for long periods of time because of inefficiencies in the Family Reunification system. This documentary speaks to immigrants in Cork about the difficulties they experience because they cannot have their families with them. The Film features families living in Cork who have been separated because of Irish government policies. It has been written, edited and filmed with the help of members of Nasc Policy Group and was released on 15th November 2007.

We are grateful to Community Arts Development Fund of Cork City Council for funding this project.
