Mollie Pereira
Mollie orignally from South Africa is an Irish national and has been volunteering at Nasc since 2009.
"I have been volunteering at Nasc for the past year and a half as Job’s club facilitator, Receptionist and Admin Assistant. ..I also taught computers for beginners. My experience in these fields has broadened my knowledge even further. During my time at Nasc I have come into contact with various nationalities and have learnt much of many cultural and ethnic backgrounds of our members and clients. I am glad that I have joined Nasc and working with the team has built my character stronger and has enhanced my personality."
Andrea Nagy
Andrea from Hungary, has been volunteering at Nasc since 2009.
"
When I first became involved in Nasc I felt that I am one of them.... As I got more and more engaged my identity become clearer....In my every day work I meet people who despite of recession and hard times are still perceiving differences as diversity and not as annoying source of frustration. I meet people who are willing to commit themselvesnand prefer differences as the result of their actions"
Tania Dias
Tania is from Portugal and began her internship with Nasc in February 2010, through the Leonardo da Vinci EU placement programme.
"My passage through Nasc has been enriching in all levels. I feel lucky every day for the opportunity of experiencing an intercultural environment, among those people who work so hard to defend the rights of migrants in Ireland. I am proud each day to be part of this team. Thank you to to all staff and members of Nasc."
John Usunobun & Alessandro Zucconi
John,orignally from Nigeria, is studying in St. John's College and completed his placement in Nasc in February 2010. Alessandro, from Italy worked in Nasc through the Leonardo da Vinci EU placement Programme in 2009.
"During my work placement I really have a good time with the staff, they are very kind and helpful. They give a very good support in sorting out hard problems" - John Usunobun.
Sarah Sheridan
Sarah from Dublin, Ireland worked in Nasc in 2008.
"Immigrants all over Ireland would benefit greatly if they had access to services and be part of a welcoming community.
I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Nasc and know that I am gaining practical and worthwhile experience whilst also meeting great people."
Sebastian Ruda
Sebastian is from Lengerich, in the northwest of Germany. He worked at Nasc from July to November 2008.

Aboubacar Diego
Diego originally from DRC Congo is an Irish national studying Government and Public Policy in UCC. He did a work placement in Nasc during August 2008." I am so happy to be in Nasc, and working with them together is so nice."

Volunteering at Nasc
Nasc welcomes volunteers to help with the organisation of projects and with the day to day running of the office.

Student Placements and Internships
Nasc welcomes students from a variety of Cork-based courses.
We also welcome students from all over the world.
If you are interested in a student placement or an internship please apply well in advance of your placement since places are limited and demand is always high.
